PMRC 219 – Special Topics for ACP-Geologists and PMRC 2020 Updates
This webinar targets current ACPs (Accredited Competent Person), aspiring ACPs and Geologists. Two Special Topics will be presented – Offshore Mineral Resources and Critical Minerals in the Philippine Setting. Offshore Mineral Resources in recent times are becoming increasingly important due to growing demand for raw materials and the gradual depletion of land-based resources, while Critical Minerals are essential for modern technologies, national security, and in the transition to a green economy.
Geologists play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and developing these minerals resources. Considering that these deposits are found in complex geological settings – requiring advanced exploration techniques, the webinar offers the opportunity for the local mining and exploration industry practitioners to acquire a practical knowledge and understanding of Offshore and Critical Mineral Deposits, particularly in the Philippine geologic setting. The webinar is also open to ACP and non-ACP Mining and Metallurgical Engineers with interests in these mineral deposits.
