PMRC Competent Person in Geology Webinar

The GSP Mineral Reporting Code Committee (MRCC) is inviting geologists to the CP in Geology webinar on the PMRC 2007, PMRCC/PMRC 2020 updates and a trailer on the book Practical Mining Geostatistics - Applications in Exploration and Resource Reporting on May 8, Saturday, from 9:00 Am - 12:00 NN via Zoom platform. The GSP MRCC is likewise inviting CP Applicants to the CP Accreditation Examinations and Interviews that will be conducted in the afternoon of May 8 starting at 1:30 pm.
Requirements for applicants:
1. Must have at least five (5) years experience in the field of mineral exploration and/or mineral resources estimation
2. Must be a GSP member for the last 2 years
3. Must have a valid and current PRC license or an existing renewal application
4. Must have a current PTR (exempted for geologists exclusively employed in the government)
5. Must have attended 1 CP seminar or webinar prior to application
6. Must email the completed CP Application form downloadable at the GSP website and digital copy of at least two (2) technical reports demonstrating competence to the secretariat ( lsmarcelojr@yahoo.com and bbautista@signal-delta.com)
One-time fee charged to applicants is P2,000

2021 GSP Induction of Officers, Board of Trustees and Committee Chairs

The Induction of Officers, Board of Trustees and Committee Chairs of the Geological Society of the Philippines was held online on 11 February 2021 (Thursday) at 4:00 pm. Dr. Benjamin S. Austria, OIC of the Professional Regulatory Board of Geology, served as the inducting officer. DENR Undersecretary Atty. Jonas R. Leones was the guest speaker.
