TitleUnconventional resources of Sc associated with weathered mafic-ultramafic rocks
Description
On February 24 (Monday), from 4:00 PM onwards at the NIGS Audio-Visual Room, the NIGS Lecture Series will feature a talk from Dr. Mei-Fu Zhou entitled "Unconventional resources of Sc associated with weathered mafic-ultramafic rocks."
Dr. Mei-Fu Zhou is a professor at the Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a distinguished lecturer of the Society of Economic Geologists. He earned his Ph.D. from Dalhousie University in Canada and pursued postdoctoral research at Laurentian University, prior to joining the University of Hong Kong where he taught for over 25 years. His research interests include ophiolites, large igneous provinces, and mineral deposits. With more than 450 publications, his work has garnered over 45,000 citations, reflecting an H-index of 118 (Google Scholar). 
This event is in partnership with Rushurgent Working Group, UPD National Institute of Geological Sciences, Geological Society of the Philippines, UPLB School of Environmental Science and Management, and the Philippine Association of Geology Students - SEG Student Chapter and is open to interested participants.
