On July 9 (Tuesday), 4 PM at the NIGS Multipurpose Room, the NIGS Lecture Series will feature a talk by Dr. John Encarnacion on “Antarctica and its Past Global Connections”. The poster is attached below. Dr. John Encarnacion is a professor and the Director of Undergraduate Geoscience Programs (Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences) at Saint Louis University, Missouri, United States of America. Dr. Encarnacion specializes in various tectonic and petrologic topics dealing with subduction, magmatic, island arc, and continental growth, as well as ore deposits. His research has taken him to Antarctica, China, Iceland, Madagascar, the Philippines, and southern Africa (South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique). The NIGS Lecture Series is being held in partnership with NIGS. Feel free to disseminate this post. This talk is open to the general public. Coffee and biscuits will be available. See you there!
